Golf
With six championship courses, County Wexford is a golfers paradise.

The wonderful natural terrain around our coastline provides superb link and parkland courses. Wexford Golf Club, Rosslare Golf Club and St. Helen's Bay Golf and Country Club are only a few minutes drive from Wexford Town.

Angling
It is easy to reach the rich fishing grounds around Wexford, with over 200 km of coastline, it is one of our greatest resources.

Shore angling is also a very popular pastime among the locals who can direct you the best locations.

Wexford County possesses an abundance of clean
rivers and lakes to cater for the coarse and game angler; the Rivers Barrow and Slaney are the two largest rivers.
Johnstown Castle and Gardens
A neo-Gothic castle just outside Wexford Town is surrounded by 20 hectares of gardens with a wide range of trees and shrubs - all well worth seeing. 
The Irish Agricultural Museum is also based here.
The Irish National Heritage Park  
This is a must with 9000 years of history from 7000B.C. to the 12th century documented through reconstructions of ancient settlements and religious sites.

Westgate Centre, Wexford Town
An early 14th century tower house contains an audio visual show on the history and development of Wexford.

Hook Lighthouse,
Peninsula

One of the oldest lighthouses in Europe. It dates back from the 12th century. 
It is now a Visitor Centre and well worth a day visit.

 Wexford Opera Festival
 Staged in The Theatre Royal, Wexford, annually in October,
 it draws audiences and artists from all over the world.
 2003 celebrates the 53rd anniversary of this festival.
Yola Farmstead Folk Farm
This is an 18th century themed farmstead featuring a restored farmhouse, forge, schoolhouse, working mill etc. It is also a county Genealogy centre. On the road to Rosslare Ferryport.
 Our Lady's Island
 
Situated between Rosslare and Kilmore Quay. This is a famous
 pilgrimage venue, it is also an area of International importance for
 its wildlife.
Boolavogue - Fr. Murphy Centre
Fr. Murphy Centre commemorates the memory of Fr. John Murphy and the 1798 Rising, craft and coffee shop on site.
Dunbrody Famine Ship (J.F.K. Trust)
Situated in New Ross, only 30 minutes drive away and it is a full scale reproduction of a 19th century famine ship. It is also an authentic replica of the Three Masted Barque built in Quebec in 1845 for the Graves family of New Ross.
National 1798 Centre, Enniscorthy
The National 1798 visitor centre traces  the Rebellion of 1798 in County Wexford, together with events as they happened in Europe, United
States and Australia.
The Revolution experience is dramatic audio
visual display using a curved screen to simulate the battle of Vinegar Hill and is the highlight of the show.

The John F. Kennedy Arboretum
The John F. Kennedy Arboretum, on 252 hectares contains over 4,500 types of trees and shrubs, 200 forest plots, rhododendrons, dwarf conifers, lake, viewing point, tea room and visitor centre with an audio-visual show.
Wexford Racecourse

Meetings (Day and Evening) are held regularly throughout the year.

Wexford Wildlife Reserve
Wexford is widely known as the best county in Ireland for bird watching. This is a well-equipped visitor centre and has many exhibitions and an informative audio visual show.
The park is sign-posted just outside Wexford town
on the R741 between Ferrybank and Castlebridge.
